Paris, je t’aime!

We have arrived in Paris…and what an arrival it has been! After settling into our accommodation in the late afternoon in the artsy neighborhood of Le Marsais in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, we set off for the Eiffel Tower and saw it lit up at night! At our evening meeting, everyone said it was the highlight of their day.

On our first full day, we had the chance to explore the Parisian laundromats and wash our clothes after all our adventures in the French alps. We then explored France’s colonial past through some delicious Moroccan food for lunch.

We also went to our first museum in Paris, the Centre Pompidou, which has a fantastic collection of modern and contemporary art, and discussed how the definition of art is different for each student.

We ended our first full day in Paris with some delicious Senegalese food for dinner and one of our leaders, Jordan (who used to live in Senegal), explained the different dishes to the students, who ate it up.

Stay tuned for more Parisian adventures!
